  New Years Resolution-Firm Believer

  i decided to start my new years resolution now.that way i will have met my goal come jan.1.i joined a gym sunday and i am in pain.i worked out on weights and i will be taking kick boxing classes and yoga.december i will be ready to hit the slopes at lake tahoe.i need to lose 20 pounds and firm up so that i look great in that strapless new years dress.what is your new years resolution?

  since most jws ignore the problem, don't know it actually exists, or discredit anyone speaking out against them, i understand why she knows nothing.

  ARLINGTON, Washington (AP) --"Call 911! I have a hawk stuck to my arm."

  It didn't take long for gas station customers to see Jamie Wing wasn't kidding.

  A red-tailed hawk collided with Wing's pickup truck Thursday, and after she freed the bird's wing from the side-view mirror, the hawk invaded the truck, bit Wing's lip and then sank its talons into her right arm.

  Wing, 38, said she threw a coat over the bird, tried without success to get it off her arm -- and then drove to the nearest highway exit.

  "Every time you touched the bird, it gripped harder," she said. "There was a point where it got so painful that I was going to reach down and break its neck myself, but I love animals and I realized the bird was in shock and pain."

  Firefighters administered morphine to help ease Wing's pain, and two women from the nearby Sarvey Wildlife Center pulled the hawk off her arm.

  Wing was treated at a local hospital for puncture wounds on her right arm, hand and thumb. "I feel lucky it didn't chew me up more," she said.

  The hawk had to be euthanized because both wings were broken too badly to heal or be repaired, said Kestrel SkyHawk, who cares for birds of prey at the center and is on its board of directors.

  could it be that the "angel of lot" led these captives out?

  it's amazing how, if the jw captives die in captivity, then the jw's will spin it that "time and unforseen occurance" happens to all (even loyal jws).

  it's amazing how, if the jw captives die in captivity, then the jw's will spin it that "time and unforseen occurance" happens to all (even loyal jws).

  It's amazing how, if the JW captives die in captivity, then the JW's will spin it that "time and unforseen occurance" happens to all (even loyal JWs).

  If they escape, they will spin it that Jehovah blessed them with a way out (perhaps even doing an article about their time in captivity, how they stayed focused, and how they witnessed to the abductors...you know, like Paul did...and how one of the abductors is now an elder...etc., etc., etc.)

  They will spin it that the non-JW captives just happened to be at the right place at the right time and God had nothing to do with their escape.

  They have explanations for EVERYTHING!

The sources said the kidnappers fled from the town of Luuk and were last seen heading towards the islands eastern coast. The gunmen are led by Abdulmuin Sahiron, a relative of Abu Sayyaf chief Radullan Sahiron. The elder Sahiron has been holding Indonesian sailors Pieter Lerrech, Julkipli, and Muntu Jacobos Winowatan hostage. The Indonesians were seized from their coal barge in June in southern Philippine seas. The younger Sahirons group is holding four Filipina Jehovahs Witness evangelists abducted while selling cosmetics in nearby Patikul town in August.

  we heard new light this evening.

  a local needs talk was given about how anyone that knows someone might be dating a non- witness and doesn't report it to the elders is actually hindering the free flow of jehovah's holy spirit.

  yes, if the "sin" goes unreported, the whole congregation will be affected, just as in the case of achan and his family!

  I Got 9/11 on My Mind + Kind Words + Photos

  i wanted to save my 911th post for 9/11 and do a tribute.

  obviously, i'm almost a week early but what the heck...i feel like i need to make my tribute today.. i was at work (probably like most of you on the east coast) when it happened.

  my wife was born and raised in brooklyn, ny and her parents' apartment had an awesome view of the wtc.

  Mimilly- Thank you! All of the pictures of the clean-up effort and the statutes and the WTC models were all shot by me in February. It was one of the most saddest and surreal days I have ever experienced.
